Ok, this involves shooting, but if you think you're not gonna be able to subdue him and his car in the middle of the street, just snipe him from near the evac point. Same as Jailbreak, I'd still bring the whole squad.Ĥ) Advent official mission. Problem is that they can usually find you the next turn, and you'll have to wait some turns for evac. If there are few aliens, you can sometimes hack from a distance and no pods will trigger. I'd bring the whole squad though, in case things go badly.ģ) Any hacking mission. Take a shaped charge, use it and wait one turn for the fire to die down and run everyone through. If you get lucky, their prison cells will be one blown up wall away from the extraction zone. Stick to the edges of the map and you're golden.Ģ) Jailbrake. Just take a single shinobi and have him scout ahead to make sure your VIP doesn't trigger any pods. Some of them require a bit of luck, some of them are just really simple once you get the hang of it:ġ) Escort VIP. #1569 Oh, I think it's been said before in this thread, but as a tip to new guys: there are a few mission types that are possible to win without firing a shot (so long as it's less than LIGHT). I feel nanosteel vest (is that the name? The one that gives 3 health and -25 crit to enemy), viper rounds and incendiary grenades are a must for everyone that can use them. I give them to every sniper, ranger and gunner in my squad, often to other classes as well. On another subject, viper rounds are so damn good. Biggest boost is given by putting a Psi soldier in Haven, also its level increased the chance.ĭo you know if the faceless only get killed through the mission, or does it happen naturally if you're lucky enough? I've actually managed to win one of these missions early on, but later the civies are so weak, even if they get free higher tier weapons. Also a high level soldier that is also an officer gives bigger boost to find faceless. Putting low level ones will only boost your recruitment chances but do little vs Faceless. I usually have 1 soldier in my havens, I just put a random scrub in there bu i still have a lot of -money on my monthly reports.Ĭhance to find faceless spies in your Haven and get the mission to kill them rises with higher level soldier you put as Haven adviser. What bug are you talking about, my ironmaning has actually been working really great, except me sucking loll. You play as if you are on Ironman but you only reload if a bug occurs.ĭo I liberate a region just by getting enough resistance comms up? I'd rather sell something I don't in order to ensure my run continues.Īlso, I'd recommend not actually playing on Ironman due to bugs and losing a campaign to bugs is never fun. If you need supplies don't be afraid to sell things you might not want too. The higher rank the soldier is the more effective the hunt for spies are. Stick a soldier in them and they'll hunt for them. I also sell useless PCS's like the Will one.Īlso, if you see your losing supplies per month then you have spy/spies in your havens. I generally save my corpses until theres a sale and I go pretty crazy but save enough to be in a comfortable position. Missions where the goal is to simply neutrilize the enemy is a golden opportunity to get corpses and also an array of supplies depending on the mission. Also, a liberated region should provide some nice supply if you put a haven or 2 on supply and putting an engineer(?) in them to increase the amount of supply you generate. Learning to pick your missions is pretty important in my opinion. If a situation arises where I HAVE to do a mission or else a bad dark event is gonna go through then I recall my best and go on that mission. That way I always have at least 3 missions going and generally use my A-team for supply raids, troop column ambushes, etc. For me, I have 3 full squads for missions. Trying to do every mission that pops up will only cause problems as the game goes on. You pick and choose your battles and what you think will be more worth it. #1561 In LW2 you don't have to do every mission you see.
